Coffee & music demolition for Burnfield @ the SECC
July 6, 2013
You’re not often asked to start a demolition project whilst live music plays and thousands of the general public mill past, but that’s exactly what the operatives from Burnfield Demolition had to recently contend with at the Glasgow SECC concert halls. The client required the hand demolition of a Costa Coffee unit, the floor tile removal and screed over 800 square metres of the East Concourse.
The noise producing operations were completed during night shifts and a second squad of operatives cleared the debris during the day shift. Extreme care was taken at all times as the main services powering the SECC were nearby to the demolition area.
Strict health and safety measures were put in place due to the large numbers of the general public in the immediate and surrounding area’s.
