Crane emergency works, Port Glasgow
October 2, 2023
Burnfield Demolition were asked by Inverclyde Council to complete some emergency works to the fire damaged Clune Park School in Port Glasgow.
The school contained contaminated materials including asbestos so all works were carried out in accordance with HSE and SEPA guidelines.
Due to the lack of access, two cranes had to be used to remove the smaller skips and to enable the demolition team to access the roof and upper reaches of the building via a man basket. A Bobcat small machine was also craned in speed up the removal of debris whilst leaving the facade untouched for future development.
